How to increase efficiency on DEFECTS retesting
1. Dedicated time for DEFECTS testing (DEFECTS happy hours)
2. Prioritize the DEFECTS testing at start of the day.
3. Retest DEFECTS as per the PRIORITY assigned, which will not stop the execution.
How to increase testing efficiency and increase defect counts
1. Happy Hour Concept - Here the tester focuses on the specified module/system for the specified amount of time with out any disturbances(No Calls, No TP) and raises the maximum no. of Defects within an hour.
2. Marathon Testing - To increase the execution progress, few of the team members can of different module can come together and test continuously for a period of 24 Hrs and set the targets. Since all the team members of different modules work together clarification required during test case execution can be easily resolved.
How to achieve target when less no of days are available for testing
1. Prioritize test cases on basis of severity.
2. Test critical functionality first.
3. Try execute multiple test cases in a single flow.
4. Business scenarios should be focused on while testing and defect fix pertaining to that should be given priority.
5. Case with multiple conditions/validation not related to business could be taken up later as they are bound to fail.
6. Working a couple of Saturday would let achieve the target as well.
